Alejandra R. Gil

Alejandra R. Gil joined HPM&B in 2015.  Her practice is primarily focused on the defense of physicians, medical personnel, and medical institutions in malpractice matters.  Alejandra also defends medical providers and New York City Department of Correction employees in Civil Rights actions brought in Federal Court.  In addition, Alejandra represents property owners in general negligence actions.  She handles all aspects of litigation including plaintiff and defense depositions, documentary discovery, expert conferences, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances.

Prior to joining HPM&B, Alejandra was an associate at a firm in the Hudson Valley where she represented defendants in medical malpractice matters. She also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office for over six years. During her time in the DA’s Office, Alejandra handled the prosecution of crimes including robberies and attempted murders, from the arrest until trial.

Alejandra is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association. She was inducted as president of the Hudson Valley Hispanic Bar Association in July 2022. She is fluent in Spanish.
