Hayley B. Newman

Hayley B. Newman is a partner at HPM&B. She specializes in the defense of individual providers and health care institutions in high-exposure medical malpractice litigation.  She also represents doctors, hospitals and health care entities in other civil matters venued in state and federal court. Hayley is an integral member of the firm’s trial teams, working hand-in-hand with trial counsel from the inception of the case and defense strategy through verdict. She previously worked for a litigation firm in downtown Manhattan.

Prior to law school, Hayley spent several years researching Alzheimer’s disease in the Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate.  Her research was submitted to national science competitions and she was named a semi-finalist in the Intel Science Talent Search and Siemen’s Westinghouse competitions.  She also collaborated on the following publication: Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology: Sheffield, Lynette G; Miskiewicz, Hayley B.; Tannenbaum, Lindsey B; Mirra, Suzanne S MD. Nuclear Pore Proteins in Alzheimer Disease. JNEN, 2006; pgs 45-54, January 2006.

Hayley is a member of the Team Fox Young Professionals, a division of the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research.
