Megan K. Maxson
Associate
Megan represents physicians and major metropolitan area hospitals in the defense of complex medical malpractice actions. She handles all aspects of case development, including investigation, motion practice, discovery, risk assessment, and depositions.
Prior to joining HPM&B, Megan was an Assistant District Attorney at the Queens County District Attorney’s office, where she tried numerous cases and conducted countless hearings. There she also wrote and argued appeals before the Appellate Division, Second Department.
Megan has worked as pro bono attorney for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a nonprofit that represents unaccompanied minors in immigration court and family court.
