Lauren Baretta

Associate

Lauren A. Baretta  joined the firm in June 2025 as a medical malpractice litigation associate, representing hospitals, physicians, and health care facilities.

As a medical malpractice litigation associate, she provide strategic legal defense, conduct case evaluations, manage discovery, and advocate for clients through all stages of litigation.

Lauren was published in the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal in 2024 with my note, To Be Educated: The Role and Responsibility of Schools to Protect Student Mental Health from K–JD. My second piece, Aspirin and a Cup of Coffee: A Case Study on Midol’s Advertising Evolution Post-Sterling, has been selected for publication and is currently in press with the same journal.

Lauren bring a strong foundation in writing, research, and analysis. At Connecticut College, she served as Opinions Editor of The College Voice student newspaper and was later awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Award in Sabah, Malaysia. These experiences shaped my leadership as Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal and as Vice President of the Public Interest Law Project. While in law school, she interned at the Center for Family Justice, a pro-bono family law firm in Bridgeport and Keller Law, a special education law firm in Norwalk. After graduating from law school, Lauren worked at RSM as a Tax Associate in the Federal Credits & Incentives department gaining skills in client communication and attention to detail.

Lauren enjoys exploring new cultures and have traveled to several countries, including Peru, Malaysia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Australia, and Canada. Outside of work, she have a passion for plants and animals and care for a lemon tree, a cherry tree, and her cat, Lucy.

Lauren speaks English and Spanish (intermediate).
