Elizabeth M. Berecin

Elizabeth M. Berecin joined HPM&B as an associate attorney in 2024. At HPM&B, Elizabeth represents insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits, and is involved in all aspects of pre-trial litigation and trial preparation.

Prior to joining HPM&B, Elizabeth worked for a New York City firm and a federal agency, where she gained experience in defending lawsuits brought pursuant to the New York Child Victims Act, Federal Tort Claims Act, 14 U.S.C. § 1983, and writs of habeas corpus.

Elizabeth received the Agency Award from the USAO of the Central District of California in 2022 and is the former Managing Editor of CAAFlog, the official blog of the National Institute of Military Justice.

During law school, Elizabeth served as an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal, ABA Representative of the Student Bar Association, Founder/President of the Military Law Society, President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Vice President of the Dispute Resolution Society, and Hofstra Law School Ambassador. In 2019, Elizabeth interned with the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and the Government Appellate Division of the U.S. Army JAG Corps.

When not working, Elizabeth is an active volunteer that fundraises for cancer non-profits and is a member of the New York Junior League.
