James Navarro Named Partner

 

Mr. Navarro is a key member of the firm’s NYPH, FOJP, NYU and HHC teams, working out of the firm’s New York office.  A native of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, James attended Iona College before receiving a full scholarship from SUNY-Buffalo Law School, where he became a member of the Buffalo Law Review.  James received the Kenneth A. Gomez Memorial Award, which was given to a graduating law student for his/her contributions to the goals of equality and justice for all minorities.  He worked for 4 ½ years as a law clerk at the Appellate Division, Second Department before joining HPMB in 2005.  Since then, he has handled the defense of dozens of medical liability cases on behalf of institutional and individual clients. 

 

James is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.  He has also served as an arbitrator for the Civil Court of the City of New York on a Pro-Bono basis. James is fluent in Spanish.
