HPM&B’s Medical Liability & Risk Management Group is devoted to
representing the health science and health care industries. Our
firm has handled thousands of high-exposure cases involving
allegations of medical negligence of every type and has earned a
strong track record as a leader in medical liability defense by
the bench and both sides of the bar. Our group includes
attorneys with formal training in the medical sciences, a board
certified anesthesiologist and a number of licensed registered
nurses, all of who have the expertise to review and analyze
medical records, conference and depose experts, and to identify
areas of the case upon which success at trial or summary
judgment can be premised.
Our attorneys have tried hundreds of malpractice
cases. We are
regularly consulted by hospital department and quality managers
and have lectured across the country to groups such as the
Association of Hospital Risk Management, the Society of Medical
Jurisprudence and the Hospital Financial Management Association.
We also offer on-call legal assistance to hospital
administrators who are faced with day-to-day decisions that
impact patient care and liability exposure at their facilities
and provide risk management counseling, helping our clients
develop strategies for avoiding adverse outcomes and lawsuits,
and inculcating best practices in their workforces.
