Scott’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on products liability involving pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in state and federal courts throughout the country. He has defended mass tort claims on behalf of makers of prescription pain medicines, antibiotics, contact lens solution, oral contraceptives and various over-the-counter products.  

As part of his complex litigation practice, Scott has experience in multidistrict litigation and defending class actions, including consumer fraud/deceptive trade practices cases. He currently serves as Defendant’s Liaison Counsel in a class action MDL and he was a key member of the defense team in nationwide litigation involving Bausch & Lomb’s ReNu® with MoistureLoc® Multi- Purpose Contact Lens Solution.   He was instrumental in the dismissal of hundreds of cases on Daubert/Frye grounds. Scott also has vast experience in the defense of commercial, mass tort and medical malpractice claims.  He has tried cases on behalf of major medical institutions and individual physicians in the New York metropolitan area.

Scott serves on the firm’s Client Development and Hiring committees.
