Mr. Heller joined HPM&B as a partner at the end of 2007. He specializes in the defense of medical, podiatric, chiropractic and dental claims for health providers in these practice areas. He also is experienced in the defense of general liability claims including premises liability, construction accidents, products liability, elevator accidents.
Beyond trying complex cases in the courtroom, Mr. Heller routinely advises clients with regard medico-legal issues, issues of risk management and healthcare.
Mr. Heller has also tried many general and product liability cases, including matters involving gym equipment, sports camps and elevator accidents.
He is a Member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, DRI, NYS Bar Association - Trial Lawyers Section, and the Westchester County Bar Association.
Mr. Heller has authored numerous articles for specialty medical journals and texts such as Podiatry Management and Diabetic Footcare, and he has lectured at risk management programs and continuing medical education programs sponsored by Physicians Reciprocal Insurers.
Mr. Heller teaches annually at Hofstra University Law School's NITA Trial Advocacy Program.
