An associate at HPM&B, Brittany S. Cates joined the firm in 2007. She represents both individual and institutional healthcare providers in professional, medical, and general liability matters.
Ms. Cates works closely with partners in the representation of clients through all phases of discovery, pre-trial proceedings, and litigation.
While in law school, Ms. Cates interned at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia located in The Hague, Netherlands. Ms. Cates worked as part of the team responsible for the prosecution of individuals accused of committing grave violations of human rights during the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990s.
In recognition of professional achievement, Ms. Cates was selected by 2009 New England Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star.
